iPhone Colorcross

These are recent photos I processed with the Camerabag application on my iPhone using the new Colorcross camera filter. It's a lot of fun, easy to use and has a great look to the images. You can see the original versions of these as well as other new photo updates on my website.

Resource Magazine

I had the pleasure of shooting the cover photo for Resource Magazine's newest Summer issue! We went to Las Vegas to shoot their "The Productions of World" feature story. Vegas was amazing and exploring the different parts of the city was something I'd never done before. Thanks to the Nevada Film Commission we were able to photograph the Hoover Dam, the Red Rocks, the Strip, ghost towns and all places in between. I also covered MOPLA, Month of Photography LA, for them. The magazine looks great and I am so happy to be a part of such an awesome "Resource" for the professional photo productionist...now go get a copy and spread the word!

iPhone Photo Exhibition

Last night I had my first solo art show in LA featuring my new iPhone photo series, "Perspectives." The turn out was amazing. I met some great people, saw some wonderful art at the neighboring galleries and really had an awesome time. I was so busy this whole week editing, preparing all the prints and trying to figure out how to hang the show. I feel like today is the first day I can actually relax a bit. I finally settled on hanging unframed prints on the wall for a photographic installation of my iPhone images. I ended up hanging them with small magnets and washers. This way the prints aren't damaged by clips or adhesives. I was very happy with the final results and now have a cool new hanging system that I will use for future installations. So many of my friends come out and support me. I am so thankful to everyone who came out to my show and also to those that sent their wishes from afar!

Also, I have received some great press write ups lately from two of LA's top photography and art blogs as well as one of the best indie music and art mags on the scene: We Can Shoot Too , PIX FEED and Redefine Mag so check them out!

I have posted some photos for those of you that couldn't make it out to the event. You can also go to my Flickr page to view the whole exhibit from start to finish! It's an exciting time for me right now and I am definitely thankful for all the blessings!

iPhoto

Lately, I have been addicted, if not obsessed, with taking pictures from my iPhone. My Facebook account is literally bombarded on a daily basis with mobile uploads from my everyday life. If you are already friends with me then this is definitely old news, but for those of you who are new to my site, I have taken the liberty of uploading some of my favorite shots from the old camera bag. It's camera is just good enough for me to feel like it's worthy of a photo...it's almost like taking a digital polaroid in the sense that, the original file is small, but also very effective for conveying a certain aesthetic. If you are a photographer and you haven't discovered this little gem of a tool, then I suggest you run to your local apple store and buy yourself an iPhone. Not only can you take photos and upload them immediately to your website and other social networks, you can do virtually anything else that you do on your laptop or home computer like email, iTunes and the internet. Either way, it will most certainly change your way of seeing and being connected to the outside world.
