MOPLA 4

Last night was part 2 of the Pro'jekt LA series, entitled 'Tis of Thee: Visual Language of American Faces and Landscape. It was located at A&I, with music by B+, and featured photographic projections by Estevan Oriol, Douglas Adesko and Hyers+Mebane, curated by Jessie Cowan. The projections were all visually interesting and the photography went together quite well. Estevan is one of my favorite LA photographers. He documents the LA street and gang culture in both b&w and color. He was selling a lot of merchandise and autographing shirts, calendars, skateboards and posters with his photography on it.
